Blog Awards Ireland Weekly Report #7

It’s been pretty busy here at Blog Awards HQ. I’m sure you all know that the nominations have been published – all nearly 1900 of them throughout the 28 categories.

Best Blog Post

Due to a number of complete blogs being entered in the Best Blog Post category, we re-opened that category for another week and emailed all the nominators to reply to us with their nominated blog post.  We’ve got lots in but don’t forget the deadline is midnight tonight if you haven’t got around to doing so yet.

Launch

Our launch for the Blog Awards coincided with our second birthday for the KLCK Bloggers Network, hence, we combined both events last Monday night and had a great evening at the Osprey.

 

We’d like to thank all our supporters who came along to enjoy the night, many new faces and it was nice to put a ‘face to the blog’!  Joan Mulvihill from the Irish Internet Associatio spoke, followed by Dave Antrobus.

Then, it was time for some fun and games with some speed blogging around the tables, some fun tips being delivered by members of the audience and some choosing of words out of a hat to inspire future blog posts.

Even some little people joined us ;)

    Can’t wait for the short list! Here’s hoping I make it…I’ve no patience :) Sounds like the launch party was a success, would have loved to have been there!
